Through baking fresh bread for our B&B the enthusiasm for better bread and interest in how it was made was obvious. This eventually led to the birth of BreadinFife where throughout the year people are welcomed into the kitchen to bake breads together. Last year over 300 people left with their bags of goodies, eager to go home and bake.
There are also opportunities for me to go out into the community to spread the word: bread and soup sessions with Zero Waste Fife in schools and halls around Central Fife, Coupar Angus Summer School baking with adults and youngsters, and of course these delicious days making bread in the sunshine at The Big Tent Festival, Fife Diet Barbecues, Aberdour Festival and in the Falkland Centre for Stewardship workshop. Work but fun.
